Pudding Mill Lane on Matchday
Can you still get off the DLR at Pudding Mill Lane and walk through directly to the ground? (ie, before the game - less bothered about after the game)

I vaguely recall it was supposed to be closed on matchdays, but there was absolutely nothing to prevent you going that way at all? Was planning to go that way tonight as I'm coming from Canary Wharf, as it means I would probably save me 20 minutes wading through the masses at Stratford and having to go around Westfield etc.

Ta.

Its the way they want the away fan to go so no longer like to advertise for their customers.

Numerous rumours that its been "closed" after matches but never had any issues when going that way.

indeed. in fact its remarkable that more people dont use it instead of moaning about the yomp from Stratford.

They used to do that at UP.... rather than go to East Ham

the thing is Sold0, its CLOSER than stratford is. Same as Hackney Wick for people with seats in the north end of the stadium.

I've been wondering when people will realise this is the easiest way in and out of the park.

I reckon it's quicker to get the DLR one stop from PML to Stratford than it is to queue up at the latter post game.

It was for me until they put up the barriers outside the away turnstiles. Now I have no idea how to get there from the North side of the ground. The stewards don't know nor are there any signs that don't point to the direction thats blocked off by the barriers.

Can someone tell me??

Went via Pudding Mill Lane from Bow Rd last Friday.Only a few fan got off when we arrived there
and it was like an obstacle race finding the Stadium with the road closures.
Despite that if your're going to the Little Driver its the best way to the Stadium.

You don't want people to realise this as it's a one line small station. :-)

The secret station is usually open, I've certainly used it many times this season.

Little Driver is my pub of choice so it's an absolute no brainer, but I still use PML when travelling from Borough where I live, regardless.

I don't know the route to PML from the other side of the barriers by the away turnstiles as i'm sat in the East Stand. I'm sure you can get on to Loop Rd from there, but if not, you'd have to walk all the way round the stadium.

Access to Loop Rd via the steps by the club shop is blocked off, however you can still get there by crossing City Mill River. It's an extra couple of mins but still much better than going to Stratford. Not sure why more people don't go that way.

_____

if you take the second bridge ( not the main one to stratford station ) take a right in front of the orbit thingy....take a right at the top onto the greenway, then 50 y ards on your left you come onto the path which will take you under the bridge and in....really straightforward- weve used it since they put the barrier up- also Now that they dont hold the coaches on the part of the greenway, there's no issue. Dont tell anyone tho.

Surely this will be even quicker soon when they take down the hoardings near the station and make the entrance more accessible

It is definitely closed on matchdays and the more people that know the better it will be for the few
